Our whistles are hand-carved by local crafts people in Wamunyu, Kenya. Known as vilingi in the Kikamba language, they are used to accompany many of the Kamba dances.

Known as nzili in the Kikamba language, bottle cap belts are worn around the shoulders or as a sash. The sound they produce accent dancer’s movements. Used by the Kamba people of Eastern Kenya, our nzili are hand-crafted by dance troupes of Wamunyu, Kenya and come in a variety of colors and patterns. Please allow us to choose for you.
   
Kangas
East African kangas are printed cloth with a Swahili proverb written on the border. Kangas have several uses, but the most popular is for clothing. Children in Kenya love to wear them over their school uniforms during musical performances. We find Western students enjoy doing the same. Kangas come in a variety of colors and patterns. Please allow us to choose for you.

Flywhisks are used as a conductor’s baton in Kamba dances of Kenya. In the classroom, they are a great tool for students to use in follow-the-leader activities. Our flywhisks are made from cow tails by local crafts people in Wamunyu, Kenya.
